Lawyer at the Paris Bar, Jean-Baptiste Belin is the partner in charge of the Intellectual Property, Technologies & Media Department.

Jean-Baptiste Belin assists and advises companies and market leaders in the digital economy with the design, implementation and enhancement of innovative technology projects. He provides strategic vision and extensive knowledge of digital law to clients of all sizes and various sectors of activity. His areas of expertise include contract law, intellectual property, Internet law, software and database law, and the law of personal data.

A significant part of his activity is dedicated to litigation (failed IT projects, counterfeiting, damage to reputation and goodwill, database extraction, evidence collection, unfair competition etc.) before civil and commercial courts.

Before he became a lawyer, Jean-Baptiste Belin worked in the legal department of the Atos group in 2011, where he was in charge of complex technology contracts with CAC40/SBF120 companies (software integration, outsourcing, maintenance, licensing, strategic partnerships, hosting and mainframe). He then practiced as an attorney within a French IP-IT boutique law firm focus before joining a tier-one business law firm in Paris.

Jean-Baptiste Belin has lectured at the University of Panthéon-Assas Paris II for several years. He his a frequent member of the Bar admission panel at the Paris Law School (Ecole de formation professionnelle des barreaux de la Cour d’appel de Paris).
